A project manager is what makes The Ghostwriting Agency unique. When you sign up with TGA, you get a whole team of specialists working for you. Working with all these specialists is very time consuming and requires an expertise all its own. When you submit a request to us, a project manager will be in touch to see how he or she can meet your needs. Our project managers are writers and editors themselves, and most are published authors. You will be assigned a project manager based on your desired genre. If you are working on an epic fantasy novel, you will not be assigned a project manager who does textbooks.
The project manager will help you outline and develop your book and work with the writer to assure that your book is the highest quality. Once the book has been written, you will get a chance to approve it or have it tweaked before it’s sent to the line editor, or proofreader, depending on what level of service is provided. The project manager will work with the editor and writer to make sure that all major style issues are cleared up. The line editor makes sure that your voice stands out as unique and consistent to you. After that, if you have proofreading, the project manager sends the manuscript to a proofreader with an eagle eye for extra spaces, quotation mark consistency, etc.
But that’s not the end of the project manager’s job. If you want to self-publish the book, you’ll need a cover and to have it formatted for eBooks and print copy.
In short, your project manager will handle a team of up to 7 different people for you. He or she will be your literary personal assistant for the duration of your stay with us.
